7 Things Your Bikini Waxer Want You to Know!

Don’t try this at home. We know your friend has a kit she bought from the drug store, we also know the complications that come with trying to wax yourselves at home. That being said, make sure your Esthetician has specific training in Brazillian Waxing – Shockingly, not many do. Experts, are thorough and do it on an everyday basis.

Get Prepared. The hair needs to be about ¼ inch long, so that’s about 2-3 weeks without shaving. Exfoliate prior your appointment with a loofa or body scrub. (We love AVEDA’S Beautifying Body Polish) Anything longer than ¼ inch should be trimmed prior to your appointment.

Before or after your period, but not during. Women are most sensitive during this time of the month, so we suggest pushing back your appointment if your monthly friend shows up.

You’re normal and so is your body. We have seen it all, it isn’t weird or gross for us. Our Estheticians are openhearted and open-minded. We will never judge what we see.

Don’t be afraid to ask. Our Estheticians have a background in skin care treatments, nails, product chemistry and more. We love it when you ask us questions. We’re here to help.

Don’t Swim. Avoid pools, hot tubs and baths for the first 24 hours. You run a risk of getting an infection.

Listen to us. When we say aftercare is important, we aren’t saying it for our benefit, we are saying it for yours. Ingrown hairs are pesky and avoidable. Exfoliate regularly with a body scrub or we love Tend Skin - even comes in a rollerball for an even application!

We appreciate you. We know it’s a vulnerable position to put yourself in, and we appreciate you putting your trust in us.
